[00:00:03] You are listening to Resilient Life, the podcast where we explore the power of resiliency.

[00:00:10] I'm Nikita Ross.

[00:00:12] It is my hope that listeners of this podcast will give you the tools to connect with and

[00:00:18] increase your resiliency.

[00:00:20] So join me on this adventure of self-discovery and self-love.

[00:00:25] Welcome to Resilient Life, the podcast where we explore all things resilience.

[00:00:37] Today, we're explaining a topic that's close to my heart and fundamentally to our journey

[00:00:42] as humans.

[00:00:43] The absolute power of resilience is not just a personal trait.

[00:00:49] It is one that all of humanity can benefit from.

[00:00:53] Let's explore how nurturing resilience within ourselves creates ways of positive change

[00:00:59] around us.

[00:01:01] We all know that life can be unpredictable and full of challenges from unexpected setbacks

[00:01:09] to significant life changes.

[00:01:12] No one is entirely immune to hardships.

[00:01:15] However, when faced with adversity, those who live a resilient life can bounce back

[00:01:21] stronger and more determined.

[00:01:24] But, who exactly benefits from living a resilient life?

[00:01:29] First off, let's demystify resilience.

[00:01:33] It's often portrayed as the ability to bounce back from setbacks, but it's so much more.

[00:01:41] Resilience is about navigating through challenges with grace, learning from experiences and emerging

[00:01:48] stronger than you were before.

[00:01:52] More insightful.

[00:01:54] It's a blend of mental toughness, emotional intelligence and unwavering commitment to personal

[00:02:01] growth.

[00:02:02] In essence, resilience is not about avoiding or not having problems.

[00:02:09] Instead, it's about how we react to the problems or the challenges.

[00:02:14] It's about being able to adapt and overcome even when things don't go as planned.

[00:02:20] When we cultivate resilience, we're not just equipping ourselves to handle life's ups and

[00:02:27] downs.

[00:02:28] We're setting the stage for a life lived with intention, purpose and joy.

[00:02:36] Embarking on a resilience journey, building resilience transforms us into this profound

[00:02:43] individual.

[00:02:44] It enhances our confidence, sharpens our problem-solving skills and fosters a sense

[00:02:49] of inner peace and mis-chaos.

[00:02:53] Resilient individuals are not deterred by failure, they view it as a stepping stone to be better.

[00:03:00] This mindset encourages a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement, making resilient

[00:03:07] people not only survivors but also thrivers.

[00:03:12] So who benefits when you embody resilience?

[00:03:17] Let's see, one of the places is your workplace.

[00:03:20] It benefits because when you display resilience, it helps to maintain a calm work environment

[00:03:29] for yourself and those around you.

[00:03:32] Resilience also strengthens your relationships, my relationships.

[00:03:36] By being resilient, you're able to handle conflicts and disagreements in a healthy

[00:03:42] way.

[00:03:43] Even a positive way.

[00:03:45] This allows us to maintain strong and supportive relationships with those around us, whether

[00:03:51] it's family, friends, colleagues or partner.

[00:03:56] Living a resilient life benefits your community, my community and society as a whole.

[00:04:03] When individuals are resilient, it creates a ripple effect inspiring others to also

[00:04:09] adopt this mindset or at the very least not want to bring negative energy and vibes around

[00:04:15] you.

[00:04:16] This can lead to a more positive and supportive community where people come together and help

[00:04:23] each other in times of need.

[00:04:26] Of course, the most obvious one which I have said several times and I will continue

[00:04:32] to say is that living a resilient life benefits you the most.

[00:04:38] It improves your mental health and overall well-being.

[00:04:42] Practices like meditation and mindfulness can help us become more resilient by training

[00:04:49] our minds to focus on the present moment and letting go of negative thoughts about

[00:04:55] the past or future.

[00:04:57] By building resilience, you are better equipped to manage stress, anxiety and other emotional

[00:05:05] difficulties.

[00:05:07] This allows you to have a more positive outlook on life and enjoy the things that bring

[00:05:12] you joy and fulfillment.

[00:05:16] When we think of increasing our resiliency, we sometimes think only of our mental or

[00:05:23] social or emotional parts, but physical fitness is also crucial to developing resilience.

[00:05:32] Regular exercise can boost our mood, reduce stress and anxiety and improve our overall

[00:05:39] well-being which are all essential factors in building resiliency.

[00:05:44] And let's not forget about nutrition.

[00:05:47] Building a healthy and balanced diet can significantly affect our mental and physical

[00:05:55] resilience.

[00:05:56] Fueling our bodies with nutritious foods gives us more energy to tackle challenges

[00:06:03] and better manage the stress that we may be experiencing.

[00:06:08] I know you've probably heard that a lot of times, but it's true.

[00:06:12] Give it a try.

[00:06:13] Move your body a few minutes a day.

[00:06:17] You don't have to start at the gym, start at home and just move a little bit every day.

[00:06:22] So the question remains, who benefits from resilience?

[00:06:26] In short, everyone does.

[00:06:28] You're not an island.

[00:06:30] Your thoughts, your words and your actions impact those around you.

[00:06:35] Your ability to remain calm and collected in the face of adversity provides a sense

[00:06:41] of stability and safety to your peers, your family, your community.

[00:06:48] What resilience isn't just about taking care of ourselves, it's also about people around

[00:06:53] us.

[00:06:54] When we have a healthy support system of family, friends, co-workers, we are better

[00:07:00] equipped to handle difficult situations.

[00:07:03] And in turn, we can be there for others when they need us because we're not burned

[00:07:09] out.

[00:07:10] Furthermore, your experiences and the lessons learned become invaluable teaching moments.

[00:07:18] By sharing your journey as we do on this podcast, you empower those around you to embrace their

[00:07:25] challenges as well with courage and optimism.

[00:07:30] Building resilience is a lifelong journey.

[00:07:34] It requires constant effort and self-reflection, but the benefits are immense.

[00:07:41] Not only do we become better equipped to handle challenges in our lives, but we also inspire

[00:07:48] and uplift those around us.

[00:07:51] Remember that this is not a solitary endeavor.

[00:07:55] Listeners, your today's episode resonated with you.
